You build your first house for your enemy, your second for your friend and your third for yourself
Over the past four years of living in our suburban off grid cabin I’ve discovered many things I wish I had done differently. In lieu of building a third house I’m planning to undertake a fairly major remodeling/expansion project for the cabin. Phase 1 will be an extension of the loft and phase 2 will converting a portion of the porch to living space. Here’s a video about the project:

Fantastic vision. Lots of challenges. Light and cooling being a couple of challenges. Will be great to see it develop. Hopefully there will be lots of updates. Any need for a mudplasterer?
